Botter - Wooden Fishing Boat - 19th century

These marvelous sturdy fishing vessels populated the Dutch south sea for more that 2 centuries. Mostly fishing bot, a type of plaice, that was common in the region. These vessels had a very shallow draft, so they could sail in the very shallow waters of the south sea, but massive sail area to pull big and heavy drag nets over the sea bottom. Often used in companion with the kubboot as dinghy.

Very high resolution model, with all the correct rigging details. Currently only static, but later an updated version will be uploaded with the rigging dynamic, or at least in various states of sail.
